Plinth Construction Work
1. Preliminaries
- Site preparation – Clear area, establish site facilities.
- Area identification & clearing – Demarcate footprint and clear vegetation/obstacles.
- Survey setting out – Confirm levels and positioning as per drawings.
- Fencing – Temporary site fencing for safety and demarcation.
2. Earthworks & Foundations
- Excavation (TLB) – Excavate to required depth and dimensions.
- Layer filling – Place selected fill material in layers.
- Compacting – Compact each layer to required density.
- MOD testing – Laboratory/field density tests for compaction approval.
- Repeat layer filling, compaction, and MOD testing until required foundation level is achieved.
3. Structural Works
- Steel works delivery – Rebar and reinforcement delivered to site.
- Steel works placement – Fix reinforcement as per drawings/specifications.
- Engineer sign-off – Structural engineer inspection and approval.
- Concrete placement – Pour concrete for plinth.
- Shuttering (if required) – Install and remove formwork as per sequence.
4. Backfilling & Finishing
- Backfill – Place and compact around completed plinth.
- Finishing – Trowel, cure, and protect concrete surfaces.
- Cleanup – Remove waste, excess material, and temporary works.
- Handover – Final inspection, sign-off, and client acceptance.
